Although it has different names like Plexiglass, Crylux, Acrylite, Lucite, etc. Due to its properties, acrylic glass is increasingly in demand in the manufacturing industry. In the modern industrial age, PMMA (acrylic) is widely used in many applications including lenses, acrylic nails, paints, security barriers, medical equipment, LCD screens due to its natural transparency and clarity and the impact resistance of some variants , furniture, windows, tanks and enclosures around exhibits.

As acrylic is thermoplastic which means it can be liquefied at its melting point and can be restored to its original shape upon cooling.
